Ophthalmology is a medical specialty dealing with the health of the eyes and vision, including diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the eyes, eyelids, and visual system. Vision is one of our most important senses, and preserving eye health is crucial for quality of life, independence, and safety.

Our ophthalmology department specializes in recognizing and treating a wide range of eye conditions – from common refractive errors such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism, to serious diseases like glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and inflammatory eye diseases. Additionally, we monitor eye changes related to systemic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and autoimmune disorders.
